The L6/40 light tank was used by the Italians from 1940 throughout the war. The name L6/40 comes from 'Legero' (light) 6 tons, 1940.
It had a crew of two, commander/gunner and driver and was also made in flame and ammo carrier versions. Around 283 were built.
It was armed with a 20m,m Breda 35 gun and an 8mm Breda machine gun.
