The Austin armoured car was produced during WWI. Some were produced in Russia between 1918 and 1920 and were referred to as the Austin-Putilov or Austin-Kegresse.
60 MkII vehicles were built and they were crewed by a driver, commander and two gunners. They were built in 1915.
They were armed with 2 either Hotchkiss or Maxim machine guns.

It was armed with a 40mm QF 2-pounder gun and a 7.92 mm coaxial Besa machine gun.
The Coventry was made too late to see service in WWII however, some were sold to France after the war anbd they were used in French Indochina.
