The model was introduced to the French air force in March 1916. It was used by the French, British and Russian air forces.
It had a maximin speed of 110mph. The French version was armed with one synchronised Vickers machine gun and/or a Lewis machine gun on the upper wing. It was occasionally fitted with 8 Le Prieur rockets
